Managing Your Anxiety
This section is designed to help you better understand anxiety—what it is, why it occurs, and how to manage it using practical, evidence-based strategies. While anxiety is a natural response to stress, it can sometimes feel overwhelming. The aim of this resource is to support you in building resilience, easing the intensity of your symptoms, and restoring a sense of control in your daily life.
Social Anxiety
Social anxiety is more than just shyness, it’s a condition where a person feels intense fear or discomfort in social situations, especially when they think they might be judged or humiliated, embarrassed, or watched by others.
Everyone feels nervous sometimes, but social anxiety when it interferes with daily life is a debilitating issue that needs to be addressed. It can lead to avoiding conversations, groups, or public situations. Some of the physical symptoms you could experience can be sweating, shaking, blushing, or a racing heart.
The good news is that social anxiety is very treatable. I have worked with many clients mostly in Ireland with a 100% success rate. I don’t believe in using medication, only as a last resort. I will teach you the necessary coping skills and confidence-building techniques so that you can regain control of you mind and enjoy your gifted life stress free.

Anxiety Attacks
An anxiety attack is a period of intense anxiety or fear that builds up and can feel overwhelming. It’s closely related to but not exactly the same as a panic attack. When you have an anxiety attack you will typically feel a strong sense of worry, dread, or unease. You will feel on edge or unable to relax or concentrate. You may also feel irritable, restless and have trouble focusing and concentrating. You will have an increased heart rate, shortness of breath or a tight chest. You may sweat, shake, feel nauseous, dizzy and have muscle tension.
Anxiety attacks usually build gradually whereas a panic attack comes on suddenly, peak quickly, and can feel very intense. They can last anywhere from minutes to hours, sometimes longer if the underlying stress continues. Whatever you may be experiencing, both are manageable with the right support.
